Mrs. Rachel: Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel grew up in the studio. She trained with Barry Thomas and J Patrick McCann at Atlanta Dance Works, then studied under Maria D’Antonio at Brookwood High School. She attended the College of Charleston where she received a BA in religious studies and a minor in dance. She had many training and performance opportunities around the country during her time at BHS and CofC. After college, she taught for Once Upon a Ballet in Charleston, SC, and wrote a children's book about the history of ballet (Ballerinas Abroad!). She is thrilled to share her love of dance with her students! Rachel and husband, Steven, have three daughters: Millie, Mollie, and Marlee. Rachel loves giraffes, the color teal, and all things chocolate--except coffee.
She hates coffee. Even if it has chocolate in it. (Yes, seriously!)
